Drivers go straight to flat speakers
A new range of driver circuits from Sonitron allow direct connection to the company's patented range of flat piezo speakers.
Phoenix Electronics has introduced a new range of driver circuits from Sonitron, which will allow direct connection to the company's patented range of flat piezo speakers The new drivers come in two versions both of which use proprietary integrated circuits
The low-voltage low-output version can be battery powered ,and the high power version can provide a maximum output voltage of 120V peak-peak.
The amplifiers both measure 45 x 40mm which allows easy mounting near to the speaker if required.
Quiescent current is only 25mA at 3V for the low-voltage version and 20mA at 30V for the high power variant.
The driver circuits and their associated piezo speakers offer a good solution where weight, size, reliability, EMC requirements and environment are considerations in the application.
