DC/DC convertor promises easy system integration

Photon Power Technology announces the release of Magic Power's newest member in the MPD-810 DC/DC convertor family, the MPI-810H-V.

This 30-120V DC input DC/DC convertor is the second-generation design from Magic Power to further reduce both system integration and configuration costs.

The MPD-810H-V can generate 85W under conventional cooling and 120W with 510 litre/min forced air.

Some added bonuses include: a power on/off function, full protection against output overload and short circuit, and automatic recovery from overload conditions.

The MTBF value is greater than 135,000 hours.

This DC/DC convertor is designed for high reliability telecommunication applications although it can be used for general DC input purposes.

The MPD-810H-V not only shares the same dimension as the rest of the family (84 x 141 x 38mm) but also provides ATX output connections and uses a thermally efficient U-channel chassis design.

The MPD-810H-V offers a compact design to enable easy installation inside a 1U chassis giving system integrators a unique opportunity to build cost effective system solutions for their customers.
