Workshop aims to help companies and academics in the fields of sensors and imaging to make the most of recently announced Government support.

The Electronics Enabled Products KTN (EEP KTN) and Sensors KTN are jointly hosting a workshop to help companies and academics in the fields of sensors and imaging to make the most of recently announced Government support The event, which takes place on 13th December 2006 at One Great George Street, Westminster, will specifically focus on sensors and imaging for medical, security and environmental applications

Through facilitated partnering activities, the workshop will provide delegates with an opportunity to form collaborative partnerships with others interested in making an outline application to the DTI's Technology Programme Autumn 2006 Competition.

Areas of potential collaboration include healthcare, security, crime detection and prevention, intelligent transport systems and environmental monitoring.

Kathryn Walsh, Director of the EEP KTN, commented: "Some organisations may be thinking of submitting a research proposal to the Autumn 06 call, but may be seeking additional partners".

"The workshop will give them the opportunity to strengthen their proposals through collaboration".
