An enhanced range of low-cost sensors designed for onboard temperature measurement is described in a new catalogue from Platinum Sensors The new range comprises sensors in SMD, TO92 and SOT 223 housings, all offering a positive temperature coefficient and linear output together with high levels of measurement accuracy and stability

The sensors are suitable for mounting onto printed circuit boards or hybrid circuits in all applications where temperature measurement or temperature compensation is required.

Sensors are available with nominal resistances of 100, 500, 1000 or 10kohm at 0C and with a measurement tolerance of either +/-0.12 or +/-0.24%.

SMD versions can be supplied in three sizes (1206, 805 and 603) with a choice of three types of solder pad material.

The normal operating range is -50 to +150C, although some versions can be used up to 170C.
