New from Pi Technology, the FSC fault simulation chassis is a stand-alone PiAutoSim unit specifically for fault insertion.

Using various FIC fault insertion cards in up to six slots, the FSC can be tailored to meet specific applications.

It offers the ability to interrupt the signal on up to 96 separate channels under software control.

Each channel may also be connected separately to one of 24 fault rails.

Connecting two channels to the same fault rails would provide a loom short, for instance.

Additionally, these fault rails may be conditioned externally to the chassis or connected to the SSWCOM input or ground internally under software control.

The FSC has six high current Elco connectors for fault channel connection.

To switch high currents, it may be necessary to use multiple connector pins.

The unit is designed to operate in tandem with a PiAutoSim SSC or PiAutoSim ASC, taking a switched SSWCOM input as its battery fault rail supply.

The FSC operates using the standard PiAutoSim software.

It may be operated with the same model as its related ASC or SSC, using master/slave relationship controlled by the synch bus connections on the front panels.

It can also be controlled using a simple CAN or Ethernet command stream.
