Desktop and plugtop supplies come to Europe

Product range includes switch mode plug top power supplies up to 25W, desktop power adapters up to 150W and battery chargers for NiMh and Li-ion technologies.

Specialist power conversion distributor, PIV Technology has signed an agreement with Taiwan based Elementech International to act as the company's sales force in the UK, Scandinavia and major European markets.

PIV Technology will distribute Elementech's extensive range of desktop and plugtop power supplies as well as providing full design and logistics support for OEM and ODM requirements where custom or semicustom solutions are required.

Elementech is a division of the Nam Liong Group, a Chinese manufacturing specialist with a turnover in excess of US $8.5 billion and over 12,000 employees.

The core aims of Elementech are to provide the best cost/quality products through a foundation of innovative design, modern manufacturing techniques and a commitment to quality from concept to completion.

Marc Hogg, Managing Director of PIV Technology, says: "In Elementech we have a company with a vast experience of different market places backed with a proven philosophy and the ability to perform".

PIV Technology is also aiming to provide a simpler route to working with manufacturers in the Far East; explains Hogg: "We are trying to offer something different".
