LED drivers offer constant options

A PIV Technology product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Feb 29, 2008

LED driver modules from Taiwan based Glacial Power feature a Class II universal input (90-264V AC, 47-63Hz) and cover an output range from 1 to 24W.

PIV Technology has a new range of LED driver modules from its Taiwan based manufacturing partner Glacial Power.

Two types are available: the constant-current LC series and the constant-voltage the LV and MS series.

All drivers feature a Class II universal input (90-264V AC, 47-63Hz) and cover an output range from 1 to 24W.

The LC series features outputs from 1 to 18W with output voltages in the range of 3 to 54V and constant currents of 350 and 700mA.

The LV and MS series features constant voltage outputs of 5, 12 and 24V and covers the output power range of 3 to 24W.

All models have inbuilt overvoltage, overcurrent and overload protection and are 100% burn in tested.

To ensure versatility in installation the products are available with either stripped lead or screw terminal connections.

All drivers operate between -10 and +40C at full load and are housed in either IP64 or IP67 rated plastic cases, making them suitable for outdoor use.

The cases range in size from 42 x 40 x 21 to 141 x 45 x 26mm.

The range is approved to current safety standards and meets RoHS requirements.

The range has an MTBF of 100kh to MIL-HDBK-217F (25C) and provides a cost effective solution to the driving of both high power and decorative LED products.
