MPEG-2 test and monitoring platform is ideal for operators requiring the transmission of video and data over Internet or other IP networks.

Pixelmetrix, the global expert in preventive monitoring for digital television networks, has introduced its new DVStation-IP, an MPEG-2 test and monitoring platform, ideal for operators requiring the transmission of video and data over Internet or other IP networks.

The new, feature-rich DVStation-IP offers remote control and automation in a sleek 19in, 2RU rack mount enclosure.

DVStation-IP provides MPEG-2 transport stream analysis and monitoring over an IP connection via a 10, 100 and 1000Mbit/s Ethernet port.

Once connected, DVStation-IP can be set to sniff out video traffic on any set of IP address pairs, extract the MPEG-2 transport stream and perform extensive MPEG-2 verification.

Its compelling features include live video display that allows visual confirmation of program content presence, service view that spans multiple TS, displays MPEG-2 and H.264 video thumbnails, critical TS and audio/video parameters in a concise format, as well as IP input payload capability of up to 500Mbit/s.

Key applications include a combination of real-time signal measurements and user-configurable alarm thresholds.

At the recent Beijing International Radio, TV and Film Equipment (BIRTV) Exhibition, the DVStation-IP swept the BIRTV Product of the Year Award 2006.

The award committee recorded more than a hundred applications vying for top spots in the three categories - Application, Product and Technology.

Distinguished review panel comprised of professional scholars, experts and eminent authorities in China.

A total of five Major awards and 27 Best awards were presented to deserving innovators.
