Monitoring appliance stars in IBC demo

EuroTel chose Pixelmetrix to help demonstrate the efficiency of its DVB-T and DVB-H modulator ETL1100DVB live at IBC.

EuroTel, a leading Italian manufacturer of analogue and digital terrestrial broadcasting television transmitters and transposers in all television bands, chose Pixelmetrix to help demonstrate the efficiency of its DVB-T and DVB-H modulator ETL1100DVB, live at IBC.

The ETL1100DVB is capable of MFN and SFN operations, features an excellent MER value of 47dB and configurable PID drop facility, offers easy direct digital pre-correction adjustment and full hierarchical mode, among its other elements.

Pixelmetrix sent in its star performer, DVStation-Remote, a distributed preventive monitoring appliance that can provide physical, transport and content monitoring in a consolidated system optimised for remote site deployment, to attest to the modulation quality.

For the purpose of the live demo, the DVStation-Remote is deployed in a simulated version of EuroTel's transmission site, where the DVB-T/DVB-H modulator is synchronised with the RF amplifier, to illustrate the seamless content conversion into high frequency radiowave.
