NEC tapes out ASICs with Plato's
NanoRoute

The decision to use NanoRoute in these designs came after NEC Electronics designers performed extensive benchmark tests on several physical design tools and found NanoRoute to produce the fastest turn-around time and the best timing and routability results.
On average, NanoRoute has shown a significant turnaround-time improvement over other routers NEC Electronics benchmarked.
NEC Electronics is in the process of deploying NanoRoute in its standard ASIC design flow.
"Fast turnaround time to deliver manufacturable designs and reach timing closure is very important for NEC Electronics' ASIC design solutions", asserts Hiroshi Nakashiba, vice president of NEC Electronics' US Technology Center.
