The Labsphere OmniLED LED measurement system is a turn-key spectroradiometer for both laboratory and online production/QC measurement of light emitting diode outputs.

The Labsphere OmniLED LED measurement system is a turn-key spectroradiometer for both laboratory and online production/QC measurement of light emitting diode outputs, including luminous and radiant intensity, power and colour The OmniLED LMS is a powerful instrument designed for any level of LED testing, from wafer-level to packaged lamps

At its heart a high-speed CCD spectrometer with integrated SourceMeter, the OmniLED employs interchangeable optical probes that provide for measurements of LED outputs in the spectral range 350-1100nm.

Labsphere's Omnicalc software provides for seamless integration with material handlers or "probers" when operated in its high-speed "binning" mode, ideal for online production use.

The "characterisation" mode turns the OmniLED into a flexible laboratory spectroradiometer that can perform a 400-step L-I-V sweep automatically, providing one-touch analysis of an LED's power, intensity, spectral distribution, peak and dominant wavelengths, CIE chromaticity and purity, colour temperature, forward voltage and leakage current.

An electronic brochure describing the OmniLED as well as a free "Technical guide to LED measurements" can be downloaded from the company's website.
