Pro-Lite Technology has been selected to represent German optical parametric oscillator (OPO) specialist GWU Lasertechnik (Cologne) in the UK and Ireland GWU currently supplies OPOs used in the nanosecond, picosecond and femtosecond regimes which provide the convenience of all-solid-state access to the spectral range from 200nm to over 4um

GWU is an acknowledged worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of OPOs based on crystals of BBO, LBO and KTP.

In 1989, GWU became the first company in the world to introduce a commercial BBO OPO and the company has maintained its pre-eminence in the OPO field with an unrivalled blend of technical innovation, expert support, proven specifications and demonstrable reliability.

GWU's OPOs are today relied on in demanding photobiological, photochemical, medical diagnostic, and environmental applications, including mass spectrometry, laser induced fluorescence, lidar and remote sensing, CARS, multiplr-photon absorption spectroscopy, combustion chemistry and in the study of nonlinear materials.

The GWU family of OPOs joins Pro-Lite's growing range of laser sources and means that the UK distributor now supplies one of the widest selections of industrial and scientific lasers in the industry, including CW, pulsed and ultrafast lasers that operate from 157nm to 4.5um.

Information on Pro-Lite's full range of laser sources, including the GWU OPOs is now available from the company's revamped website.
