The Pulse PG0063 series of unshielded drum-core inductors measure only 6.2 x 6.2mm and have a 2.5mm maximum height.

The Pulse PG0063 series of unshielded drum-core inductors measure only 6.2 x 6.2mm and have a 2.5mm maximum height.

They are designed for applications where limited board space is available such as disk drives and notebook computers, and portable handheld devices including personal data assistants (PDAs), digital cameras, handheld web devices, mobile phones and remote controls.

The PG0063's rugged design offers 19 inductance values ranging from 0.9uH at 3.5A up to 900uH at 0.12A, providing engineers with maximum design flexibility.

An extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85C ensures product stability, with minimum drift throughout the entire range.

Demand for low-profile, small-footprint, pick-and-place SMT inductors with low power consumption is growing as designers of handheld electronic devices, telecommunication products and notebook computers need to reduce circuit board size and production costs.

The PG0063 series offers a flat-top package that is ideal for pick-and-place manufacturing.

The new series is available in trays and tape-and-reel packaging and full information is given in Pulse datasheet P568 which is available on the Pulse website.
