Pulse has a new range of surface-mount discrete magnetic components specifically aimed at volume-manufactured consumer goods.

The new Star Magnetics range is designed to meet market demands in cost-sensitive applications such as high-end servers, network interface cards, switchers and hubs in both the PC and SOHO markets where lead-time to delivery is also important.

Pulse's discrete magnetic module range is now the most comprehensive on the market and, combined with its RJ45 integrated connector modules, offers a one-stop shop, particularly for local area network (LAN) providers.

The Star Magnetics range complements these existing products while catering to improved volume manufacturing techniques, time to delivery and order processing.

All meet or exceed both IEEE802.3 and ANSI X3.263 industry standards.

The Star Magnetics range consists of eight parts, with each product being specifically designed to meet the needs of a variety of popular applications.

These include PCMCIA (H0055/56), single-port fast-Ethernet network interface cards (H1260, H1265 and H1278), Gigabit-Ethernet (H5062) and Fast-Ethernet multiport 1xN and 2xN applications (H1259 and H1266).

The range offers a compact footprint providing outstanding performance to meet the market needs from 1 to 1000MHz.
