Protection for UHF comms kit
Smiths Interconnect - PolyPhaser now offers ultra-high frequency (UHF) communications lightning and surge protection with its UF50 surge protector.
Comprehensive testing has shown low surge throughout, measuring significantly less than 10uJ at 30kA (8/20us waveform).
Providing both positive and reverse voltage protection, the Micro UniBody lightning filter protector exhibits low insertion loss (less than or equal to 0.1dB) as well as low VSWR (less than or equal to 1.1:1) over the frequency range of 800MHz to 2.0GHz.
Maximum surge characteristics have been improved to 30kA.
RF power is 500W and unit impedance is 50ohm.
Maintenance free, the device is ideal for use in single or multichannel transmitter and receiver applications.
The DSX-D also provides designers with a multistrike capability.
