Budget protection for wireless local
loops
The LCU surge protector is a cost-effective product line for low-power wireless local loop applications.
With the value oriented LCU surge protector, Smiths Interconnect - PolyPhaser now offers a product line designed for low power, wireless local loop (WLL) applications It provides maximum surge protection and state-of-the-art RF performance by using PolyPhaser's proven DC blocked concept
The surge protector is maintenance free and is recommended for both transmitters as well as receivers.
It features a highly weather resistant construction and is available (for the 2.4-2.5 or 3.4-3.7GHz frequency range).
Comprehensive testing has demonstrated low surge throughput measuring significantly less than 0.5uJ at 3kA (8/20us waveform).
The surge protector also exhibits low insertion loss (0.2dB maximum) as well as low VSWR (1.2:1 maximum) over the frequency range.
