Amps and antennas gain multiple-strike
protection
The GX series from PolyPhaser provides multistrike lightning protection for sensitive tower mounted amplifiers, tower top amplifiers and active antenna systems, where DC voltage is required.
The recently introduced GX series from PolyPhaser provides multistrike lightning protection for sensitive tower mounted amplifiers (TMA), tower top amplifiers (TTA) and active antenna systems, where DC voltage is required Benefiting from a fully weatherised housing and low throughput energy, GX series lightning protectors are available as DC pass or bias-T versions and with N or 7/16 standard connectors

Protection for tower-mounted amplifiers
The GX series of broadband surge protectors enable the operating voltage of a 3G basestation tower mounted amplifiers to pass, while blocking lightning surges of up to 20kA.
GX series protectors provide a return loss of over 20dB and cover a frequency range from 400 up to 2500MHz (CGX 400 to 1200MHz; DGX 800 to 2500MHz).
Insertion loss is 0.1dB maximum.
DC Pass models feature a RF power of 50 Watts and Bias-T models deliver 300 Watts.
Surge capabilities are in accordance with IEC1000-4-5, 8/20us at 20kA and IEC1000-4-5, 10/35us at 5kA.
Surge throughput energy is up to or equal 175uJ maximum at 6V DC to 2500uJ at 60V DC for the DC pass version (6kV/3kA 8/20us) and 25uJ maximum for the bias-T version.
Insertion loss for telemetry applications is 2.5/6.0dB at 150/300kHz.
GX series lightning protectors have been designed for an operating temperature range from -50 up to +85C and a user voltage between 6 and 60V DC (plus or minus).
