PMC-Sierra has launched an online evaluator and development kit for its PM4354 Comet Quad T1/E1/J1 framer and transceiver device.

The Comet Quad is used in a broad range of network equipment such as routers, multiservice access switches, DSLAMs, digital loop carriers, and wireless base transceiver stations.

Using the Internet, a web browser and the online development kit, system designers can interactively test Comet Quad features or develop and execute their own device configuration software running on functioning hardware.

The interactive kit complements PMC-Sierra's PM2354 Comet Quad evaluator kit which consists of a PC-compatible peripheral card and a full suite of support materials including datasheets, schematics, board layouts, driver source code and an interactive GUI-based program with a library of executable configuration scripts.
