Lightweight formal verification platform
IBM is offering RuleBase Single-Thread Edition (SE), a lightweight version of its RuleBase formal verification platform as an entry-level product for those looking for a small scale solution.
It has a quarter-VGA mono graphics display with touch which can be upgraded to full colour if desired.
Standard connectivity option is serial, but the unit can also be supplied as USB, LPRS, 802.11 and Bluetooth.
The unit will give increased functionality to existing/semi-obsolete equipment as it has its own processing power which is again fully customisable (eg memory) to customers needs.
The unit also uses fully configurable, licence exempt software incorporating the reliable Dragonball processor.
There are several mounting methods available offering both horizontal and vertical twist of the display.
Applications include taxis, couriers, buses or any industry requiring scheduling.
The second product is a ruggedised in cab PDA using the Sony Clie as a platform.
The benefit of using the Clie is that portable customised solutions are readily available.
The basic cradle incorporates power and serial interface, and a GPS engine is available to allow satellite navigation and mapping down to street level if desired for bespoke applications.
Custom software and applets can also be written and supplied free of charge for volume users.
For a low cost, does all courier application the company can also supply an external barcode scanner.
PMVision's third product is an antenna splitter which gives added security for vehicle tracking.
There are two types: an automated switcher and a tracker controlled unit.
If the primary overt antenna is cut the unit will switch to a secondary GSM/GPS covert antenna.
The unit also has the ability through digital I/O to control switching between antennas, for example through simple nonoperation or loss of signal.
PMVision is also able to provide custom application code for customers existing tracking units to control the antenna.
The unit can also be fitted with any connector type including FAKRA, providing unlimited compatibility.
Should the customer wish the company can supply its own hockey puck antenna with the unit.
