Connector ruggedised for industrial networks
The Variosub-RJ45/IP67 connector is a reliable and cost-effective method of connecting network services to equipment which is required to operate in demanding environments.
Software aids interconnect specification
A new software package speeds the selection of PCB connectors from the Combicon range.
To ensure ease of use in the widest possible range of applications, the Phoenix Contact Mini-PS is capable of operating from any supply voltage in the range from 85 to 264V AC, or 90 to 350V DC, without the need for setting or adjustment.
The fully regulated 24V DC output is maintained within -0% to +3% of its nominal value from no load right up to 1.25 times full load, and 100ms mains buffering, when operating from 230V AC, means that the output is not affected by brief interruptions to the supply.
Typical output ripple is just 20mV peak-to-peak when operating from a 230V AC supply, making the unit ideally suited for demanding applications involving sensitive analogue circuitry.
The advanced design of the switch-mode circuitry employed in the Mini-PS guarantees that the unit will start correctly when fully loaded, even if it is connected to highly capacitive or other difficult types of load.
The Mini-PS also incorporates electronic short-circuit and overload protection.
To aid fast, easy installation and wiring, the Phoenix Contact Mini-PS is designed to clip directly onto standard DIN rail, and it incorporates Phoenix Contact Combicon connectors which combine the benefits of screw terminals with plug-in convenience.
As an added benefit, the connectors are coded to guard against incorrect insertion.
