Connector ruggedised for industrial networks
The Variosub-RJ45/IP67 connector is a reliable and cost-effective method of connecting network services to equipment which is required to operate in demanding environments.
An interactive version of the package, which requires no downloading or installation, can also be accessed at the Phoenix Contact website.
To work with Combicon Select, users simply enter a number of parameters based on the knowledge they have of their own application.
These include, for example, pin pitch, number of poles, voltage, connection system and current rating.
Partial entries, where not all of the parameters are specified, are acceptable.
The software then suggests products matching those parameters, and allows the user to display and review the corresponding data sheets, which include comprehensive technical information, accompanied by photographs and dimension drawings.
Options are also provided at this stage to display, at the click of a mouse button, compatible accessories, such as labels, and, where appropriate, mating headers and plugs.
After users of the package have made their product selection, they have the option of exporting 2D and 3D drawings to a design package.
The drawings are available in a wide range of formats, including DXF, IGES, STEP and VRML.
The data sheets may also be exported in PDF format, as an aid to producing documentation.
