Connector ruggedised for industrial networks
The Variosub-RJ45/IP67 connector is a reliable and cost-effective method of connecting network services to equipment which is required to operate in demanding environments.
Both of these units, like all of Phoenix Contact's Trabtech products for telecommunication applications, provide protection at a very competitive price, in a small package which can be readily accommodated, even where space is especially restricted.
Hardly larger than a standard N-type coaxial connector, which it replaces, the CN-UB-280DC clamps transients to a maximum of 700V in less than 100ns.
Suitable for both transmit and receive antenna circuits with 50ohm characteristic impedance, the units have a standing wave ratio of 1.1 or better, and can handle transmit powers up to 200W continuously.
Other antenna protection products in Phoenix Contact's Trabtech range include the RF-Trab series, which is ideally suited for use in conjunction with mobile telecommunication equipment operated by the police, fire and similar emergency services; and RF-Trab protectors, which are available as inline units with integral N-type UHF connectors, and also as precabled units with a single N-type connector.
These units can be used in both 50 and 75ohm systems.
Complementing these antenna protection products is a full range of Trabtech devices for protecting mains supply and switching circuits.
These include lightning current arresters with active energy control, which do not need long connections for decoupling purposes, and voltage arresters featuring high-performance varistor technology.
