Power connectors handle up to 32A
The new Power Combicon PC 5 plug connector system has a compact pitch of 7.62mm, a nominal voltage of 600V with a permitted current of 32A.
The connectors can be supplied in single-pole versions, and as connector blocks with between two and nine poles.
The pitch for multipole types is just 15mm, allowing a very high connection density to be achieved, in spite of the unconditional 600V UL rating offered by these versatile connectors.
To ensure that the connectors are anchored firmly to the printed circuit board with which they are used, and to guarantee a low-resistance joint between the printed circuit board track and the connector itself, each pole of the connector is provided with four solder pins.
A further refinement is the provision of chamfered cable entries which aid fast and easy cable insertion during wiring.
Power Combicon terminals have a UL94V0 flammability rating, making them suitable for use in all standard commercial and industrial applications.
They can be labelled easily and conveniently using Phoenix Contact's Zack strip system, and insulated test plugs are available as an optional accessory to assist with commissioning and fault finding.
