Locking plugs handle automotive
vibration

The risk of accidental disconnection in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board plug-in connections is eliminated by the novel click-and-lock design of the Combicon FKC-RF plug.

The risk of accidental disconnection in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board plug-in connections is eliminated by the innovative click-and-lock design of the new Combicon FKC-RF plugs from Phoenix Contact Effective protection against the effects of vibration is also provided, making these plugs an ideal choice for use in vehicle-mounted and portable equipment

When used with compatible headers or plugs from the Phoenix Contact range, the new plugs simply snap into place with an audible click which confirms that they are correctly mated.

They are then locked securely in place, until pressure is deliberately applied to the integral release levers.

The plug and header can then be separated easily and quickly, without the use of tools.

Designed for use with Combicon MSTBA-RN headers for wire-to-board connections, and Combicon FKIC-RN inverted plugs for wire-to-wire connections, the new FKC-RF plugs have a pitch of 5.08mm.

They incorporate spring-clamp terminals for ease and speed of wiring, and are suitable for use with solid or stranded cables between 0.2 and 2.5mm2 cross-section.

Phoenix Contact click-and-lock FKC-RF plugs are available in versions with any number of poles from 2 to 18.

They have a continuous current rating of 12A per pole, and a maximum operating voltage of 250V.

With bodies moulded from resilient polyamide material, the connectors have a UL94V0 flammability rating.

To complement its new plugs, Phoenix Contact offers an extensive range of accessories, including coding profiles, cable strain relief devices, test plugs and marking systems.

The new products, along with all other major items in the Combicon range, are also featured in the Combicon Select software package.

This not only provides technical data and CAD-compatible drawings, but also offers a fast, easy way for users to find the best connector for their application. Request a free brochure from Phoenix Contact ...
