In industrial plants around the world problems caused by supply interruptions or failure can be costly or can constitute a danger to process plant or personnel The new Quint Buffer and Quint DC-UPS uninterruptible power supplies from Phoenix Contact are designed to ensure the availability of the 24V DC supplies to control systems
For brief interruptions lasting up to 4s the simple Quint Buffer module supplies the required current from maintenance-free electrolytic capacitors.
For longer outages lasting up to 3h the Quint DC-UPS modules can supply currents of up to 40A from a range of durable lead-acid storage batteries with ratings up to 12Ah.
The Quint DC-UPS is a modular system that can be installed worldwide and allows connection of buffered and unbuffered loads so saving cost and space in the cubicle.
