Phoenix Contact's ZFKDS 2.5 THT spring cage PCB terminal can be processed using SMT production equipment The terminal is equipped with the company's standard soldering pins and, together with through-plated holes, achieves a high level of mechanical stability, in keeping with the through hole reflow (THR) process
The housing design was adapted for use in a SMT placing line.
A widened suction surface makes it possible to mount components using standard vacuum pipettes.
Additional spacing ribs prevent contact between the housing and solder paste and also provide for good heat flow in the soldering furnace.
The integrated spring cage connector enables connections to flexible wires with cross-sections of 0.2 to 2.5mm2 and rigid wires with cross-sections up to 4mm2.
Any number of pin counts, customer-specific belts or other machine-suitable packaging may be used.
