A new range of switch-mode power supplies that can withstand 200% peak loads for up to 10 seconds has been introduced by Powerline.

The ETA PF Series are universal input (85-264V AC) units available with single outputs of 12, 24 or 36V DC and in versions with power ratings of 75, 120 or 240W.

The compact units range in size from 95 ? 200 ? 50 to 110 ? 250 ? 65mm.

The power supplies feature active power factor correction, and electromagnetic interference meets the limits set down by the EN 55022B specification.

They are CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, and meet EN 60950, UL 1950 and CSA 234 safety approvals.

In addition to the 200% peak load capability, an option is available for 200% constant-load operation.

The high efficiency of the PF Series means that convection cooling is sufficient for most applications, while their high peak capability makes the units ideally suited to use in industrial process control and automation applications.
