Now available from Powerline is the UM3400 Series: a range of 15W isolated DC/DC convertors supplied in lightweight open-frame surface-mount packages.
Now available from Powerline is the UM3400 Series: a range of 15W isolated DC/DC convertors supplied in lightweight open-frame surface-mount packages Featuring efficiency levels of up to 88% and an input range from 36 to 75V (nominal 48V), the devices are available with output voltages of 5, 2.5 or 3.3V DC and an output current rating of 3A
Switching frequency is 400kHz.
Output voltage accuracy is +/-2% maximum, and adjustability (via an external resistor or potentiometer) is +/-10%.
Line and load regulation are +/-0.5% maximum, and ripple and noise are typically 100mV peak-to-peak at 20MHz.
Other features include a pi-network input filter, remote on/off control capability, and short-circuit and overvoltage protection.
Package dimensions are 50.8 x 28.5 x 10.4mm and weight is just 15g.
The package is compatible with industry-standard reflow soldering profiles.
