Convertors cram 40W into tiny packages
The UM3500 Series of DC/DC convertors uses synchronous rectifier topology to achieve high power levels of up to 40W from an industry standard compact package.
The UM3500 Series of DC/DC convertors, now available from Powerline, uses synchronous rectifier topology to achieve high power levels of up to 40W from an industry standard compact package measuring only 50.8 x 25.4 x 10.2mm (2 x 1 x 0.4in) High efficiency of up to 87% allows convection cooling and an operating temperature range of -25 to +100C
The units are available for inputs of 5 or 12V DC, producing an output voltage of 3.3V DC with corresponding current levels of 12 and 10A.
Voltage accuracy is +/-2% maximum, line regulation is within +/-0.5% and load regulation within +/-0.7%.
Other features include remote on/off control, continuous short-circuit protection, and the ability to operate devices in parallel with a current-share function.
