Convertor raises the bar for efficiency

Employing an innovative magnetics concept, the new ET-Series' patented topology rewrites the benchmark for convertor efficiency by delivering a constant 95% efficiency independent of load and input voltage changes.

Very high efficiency means very low power losses thus eliminating the need for additional cooling in the form of a fan or heatsink.

As the extremely compact ET-Series unit is self-contained it requires no external components or circuitry, offering a higher speed of connection as well as saving additional costs and saving valuable mounting space.

Its compact size makes it ideal for space critical applications in areas such as industrial control, computing, automotive, medical and telecomms equipment.

The new single-output DC/DC convertors are available with a range of outputs from 3.3 to 24V and can be supplied with a choice of 48 or 300V DC input.

They boast a very high power density.

The first of the ET-Series to be made available is the 100W ETD-Series, soon to be followed by the 600W ETG-Series whose power density of 1.8W/cm3 sets new standards.

Also in development is an extremely powerful new 1800W unit that will undoubtedly "raise the bar" even further.
