Conditioners smooth out bar supplies

To protect the integrity of its electronic tills and back office systems against power disturbances, Yates Group, one of the county's most progressive pub businesses, has installed Powervar Ground Guard power conditioners and uninterruptible power managers (UPM) in all its Ha! Ha! Bar and Canteens.

Bars, pubs and nightclubs are very tough environments for electronic EPOS and back office systems, as they invariably have a wide variety of powered equipment ranging from chillers and catering appliances through to entertainment systems and specialised lighting.

All the Ha! Ha! Bar and Canteens now have Powervar ABC-G 250VA power conditioners to safeguard the operation of touch screen tills and 800VA UPMs to provide power conditioning and uninterruptible power for the back office systems.

Yates Group chose units incorporating Powervar's proprietary Ground Guard technology as these eliminate the need for dedicated/isolated circuits - a particular advantage in listed buildings and sites subject to frequent floor plan changes.
