Upgraded uninterruptible power manager
Following the successful launch of its Security One uninterruptible power manager (UPM) last year, Powervar has introduced new, feature-rich, second-generation models.
Backup system slips into EPOS systems
Powervar has launched its smallest all-in-one sinewave power conditioner and backup power supply.
This is the result of an integrated design that incorporates a high energy surge diverter, a power line noise filter, a low-impedance isolation transformer and a low-distortion sinewave inverter.
"It's rare to find a rack mount UPS that includes an isolation transformer", says Dennis Ver Mulm, Powervar's Vice President of Marketing.
"That is because rack space is valuable, and it's hard to fit an isolation transformer into a space efficient enclosure - but we've succeeded".
The company's new rack-mount UPM requires only 3U of vertical rack space.
The product is available in four sizes for both international and North American electrical systems - 600, 800, 1100 and 1440VA.
Two versions are also available: the first is a standard UPM with UL and cUL listings; a second version with UL60601 and IEC60601 listings for use in patient vicinity healthcare applications is also available.
International models carry the CE mark.
In voluntary co-operation with NEMA, DOT and FAA guidelines, Powervar manufactures its UPM products with battery disconnect plugs on the rear panel, which when removed, disable the internal battery and eliminate the possibility of short circuiting and fire during transport in truck, ship, or aircraft.
All Powervar products are in full compliance with the European Union's WEEE and RoHS directives.
