15W convertors are only half the size

A new generation of isolated high-performance 15W DC/DC convertors feature a package that is 50% smaller than competing products.

Powersolve has released a new generation of isolated, high performance 15W DC/DC convertors in a package that is 50% smaller than competing products.

Traco THD-15 series devices are packaged in ultracompact encapsulated modules measuring just 25.4 x 25.4 x 10.0mm and feature industry standard pinouts.

The series comprises eight models.

Four are available with tightly regulated output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15V DC and four are dual output models with +/-12 and +/-15V DC.

Input voltage range is 18 to 36 or 36 to 75V DC.

Input/output isolation is specified at 1500V and complies with EN/UL60950.

An integral I/O filter minimises the need for external filtering.

Thanks to high efficiency levels of up to 87%, the new convertors feature an operating temperature range of -25 to +71C.

Other features of the THD-15 series include remote on/off, overload protection and full RoHS compliance.
