Compact convertors are big on isolation

The THP-3 series of high-performance high-isolation DC/DC convertor modules provide 3W from a DIL-24 package.

New from Powersolve, the THP-3 series of high-performance high-isolation DC/DC convertor modules provide 3W from a DIL-24 package.

There are 12 standard models in the series with 5, 12, +/-12 and +/-15V DC available.

These new modules are specified for 4000V AC input/output isolation with a physical clearance of 2mm between input and output.

This level of isolation qualifies the convertors for applications requiring supplementary or reinforced insulation as per IEC/EN60950 and IEC/EN60601-1 medical safety standards.

The modules feature very wide input voltage ranges of 9 to 40, 18 to 80 and 36 to 160V DC.

Operating temperature range is specified for -40 to +85C.

Full SMD design and the use of ceramic capacitors ensures a high reliability and long life.

An internal input filter meeting EN55022 class A is also provided as standard.

The THP-3 series is designed for demanding applications such as transportation systems, medical equipment, instrumentation and other systems where DC/DC convertors with high isolation and/or high input voltages are required.
