Configurable supplies allow unusual voltages

A Power Sources Unlimited product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Mar 6, 2006

The MultiStax Series of configurable AC/DC power supplies allows rapid response to prototyping needs or production needs with unusual voltage combinations.

New from Power Sources Unlimited, the MultiStax Series of high-performance 1U configurable AC/DC power supplies promise unsurpassed flexibility to the design engineer in need of rapid response to prototyping needs or production needs with unusual voltage combinations.

The "plug and play" MultiStax family offers a choice of either a four- or six-module chassis, with total power ratings ranging from 200 to 1200W.

The six-slot chassis measures only 260 x 127 x 40mm.

Modules are available in single or dual adjustable output configurations with fully floating voltages ranging from 1.5 to 58V DC.

Ratings are up to 50A.

A 5V DC bias standby voltage is standard.

The output modules feature excellent specifications, with efficiencies as high as 90%, line regulation of +/-0.1%, load and cross regulation of +/-0.2%, ripple and noise of 1% peak-to-peak and transient response rated at 10%, for 25-75% load changes.

Furthering the flexibility of the MultiStax modules is each output's ability to be tied in parallel or series.

Comprehensive protection circuitry, remote sense and full load operation from 0 to 50C are standard.

All configurations are safety certified to EN60950 standards, are CE marked and meet stringent levels of emissions and immunity testing standards.

Pricing starts at $281.00 for prototype quantities.
