Point Source has released a 30mW 405nm fibre-coupled diode laser as the latest addition to its range of iFlex2000 lasers The iFlex2000 delivers 30mW in a pure Gaussian TEM00 collimated beam from a single mode polarisation maintaining fibre

The laser is highly stable and reliable, and operates with extremely low noise (less than 0.1% RMS) and offers the added advantage of an on-board fast TTL and full analogue modulation.

At 30mW, the iFlex2000 provides the highest commercially available fibre-coupled output power with the added capability of a detachable plug and play fibre for ease of installation, upgrade and field replacement.

This new power level is ideal for applications including spinning disc confocal microscopy, high throughput flow cytometry and semiconductor wafer inspection where the input light level is at a premium.

Combined with the unsurpassed wave front performance available with the singlemode fibre this system is also ideal for DVD/CD mastering and optical inspection applications.
