Cool modules extend laser diode lifetimes
New thermoelectrically cooled laser diode modules offer exceptional wavelength and power stability, greatly increased pointing accuracy and significantly extended laser diode lifetime.
Its beam divergence (parallel to the junction) has a small variation to the optical output power.
This characteristic makes it possible to suppress the variation of spot size between higher and lower output powers.
It is, therefore, suitable as a light source for large capacity rewritable optical disc memories, such as DVD-RAM and various other types of optical equipment.
Hermetic sealing of the small package (5.6mm) assures high reliability.
The HL6512MG has a threshold current of 45mA, typical operating current of 115mA, operating voltage of 2.6V, laser diode reverse voltage of 2V and astigmatism of 5mm.
It requires a positive power supply system and has a wide operating temperature of -10 to +70C.
The HL6512MG uses the small 5.6mm package that is standard for optical disk drive applications, enabling end products to be kept compact. Request a free brochure from Photonic Products ...
