Cool lasers live longer

Thermoelectrically cooled blue/violet laser diode modules offer exceptional wavelength and power stability, greatly increased pointing accuracy and significantly extended laser diode lifetime.

Thermoelectrically cooled (TEC) blue/violet laser diode modules from Photonic Products offer exceptional wavelength and power stability (better than 1%), greatly increased pointing accuracy and significantly extended laser diode lifetime The TEC laser diode modules produce elliptical output beams and output powers of 1.5mW in the 375nm ultra-violet, 4 and 25mW in the 405nm violet and 4mW in the 440nm blue wavelength bands

Designed for applications demanding consistency and repeatability such as industrial inspection, high-resolution printing, reprographics, biomedical instrumentation, spectroscopy, microscopy and genomics, the TEC modules are compact, versatile and highly cost effective.

The TEC laser diode modules incorporate microprocessor based temperature control electronics, thermo electric cooler, heatsink and fan that enable the laser diode temperature to be controlled to a set point temperature between +15 and +25C (user adjustable), and with a stability of +/-0.05C.

This accurate temperature control, together with user adjustment of the laser diode drive current enables the laser to be tuned to a region where mode hopping and RMS noise are significantly reduced or eliminated.

Accurate temperature control also produces excellent wavelength/power stability and cooling the laser diode to the factory-set +20C significantly increases laser diode lifetime.

All UV, violet and blue TEC laser diode modules in the range offer low and high temperature automatic shutoff protection, analogue and digital modulation capability and safety interlock as standard. Request a free brochure from Photonic Products ...
