Lead-free lasers outperform the old wave
New lead-free laser diodes produce one-third more CW output power than their non-RoHS-compliant predecessor.
Ideal for applications such as low level laser therapy, medical imaging, industrial alignment, laser levelling and barcode scanning, Sanyo's new DL-6147-240 and DL-6147-040 lead-free laser diodes produce 40mW CW output power at 658nm, which is 10mW more output power than the DL-5147-042 series laser diodes which they replace in compliance with the RoHS Directive Supplied in 5.6mm packages, the Sanyo DL-6147-240 and DL-6147-040 laser diodes have a low threshold current of 30mA, typical operating current of 65mA, operating voltage of 2.4V, monitor output current of 0.35mA and differential efficiency of 1.1mW/mA
They have an operating temperature range of -10 to +60C.
The DL-6147-040 requires a negative (N type) power supply system, whereas the DL-6147-240 requires a positive (P type) power supply system.
Virtually all Sanyo laser diodes are now lead-free. Request a free brochure from Photonic Products ...
