Voltage convertor runs UPS down to 110V
Power Control has introduced a new voltage convertor to ensure that its UPS systems provide a secure, no break supply to PLCs in all types of automated process industries.
Many PLCs are now controlling an increasing number of automated machines that require a lower working "safe voltage" 110V AC power supply.
However, with the normal mains power at either 415 or 230V, providing a cost effective, secure, no break supply to these products can be a problem which can result in major disruption and loss of production.
UPS specialist, Power Control, has introduced a new voltage convertor to ensure that its UPS systems provide this secure, no break supply to PLCs in all types of automated process industries.
Power Control manufacturers a wide range of UPS systems for critical equipment to provide a secure quality mains supply.
Available in a range of back up time options, systems are available to accept 200, 220, 230, 240, 1Ph or 380, 400, 415 3Ph input.
With the conversion module attached, manufacturers are ensured of a stable and secure 110V AC no break supply.
At the present time, the commercial mains power supply is not capable of providing clean and consistent electric power demanded by industrial process equipment.
Such machinery requires a consistent supply of power for their operation, hardware protection and continuity of process.
Beyond any dispute, the installation if an uninterruptible power supply system is nowadays accepted as being a vital element in the protection of such equipment.
All Power Control UPS systems offer an excellent range of very competitive optional smartcards including USHA card, optocoupler, BMS (building management system) card etc.
The RS232 serial port offers communication direct to the UPS via a serial cable while the installation of an USHA card (universal SNMP and HTTP adapter) provides an easy to use sophisticated management solution offering an interface between the UPS and the network.
The embedded HTTP server is capable of processing, forwarding and receiving HTTP commands whilst the embedded SNMP chip allows messages to be sent and received.
Both facilities can be carried out simultaneously.
The voltage convertor is manufactured to IEC standards, has both UL and CE approval and is supported by Power Control's full range of services.
These include specification and free site surveys through to full warranty and maintenance packages, which are undertaken by the company's own fleet of mobile and highly trained engineers and in-house technicians.
