ProtoDel International will make a major step into the Asian market next month, when it will announce its partnership with I-Wave of Tokyo during the InterOpto 02 exhibition.
Visitors to the exhibition stand (No 259) in the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Tokyo will have the first chance in Asia to see ProtoDel's revolutionary power monitors, optical shutters and its latest polariser technology - half the size of previous designs.
"Japan is without doubt one of the most advanced markets in the world and has a fibre rich network to prove it", said ProtoDel's telecomms account manager Lee Nunn.
"We had massive interest from Japan when we exhibited at the OFC exhibition earlier this year and we are delighted to able to announce our partnership with I-Wave to help us bring these world leading products to the world leading market".
ProtoDel's power monitor technology - the key to measuring and controlling fibre optic signals - is noninvasive.
It is the only product of its type in the world and uniquely operates solely within the evanescent field of the optical transmission, allowing the optical signal to pass uninterrupted and therefore allowing record low loss and back reflection performance.
The company also produces the world's first all-fibre optical shutter specifically for the telecommunications market - again on show at InterOpto - and the world's smallest commercial fibre-optic polariser.
"We are very excited about being at InterOpto and working with I-Wave across the Japanese market for both equipment manufacturers and optoelectronic device companies", added Nunn.
"This will be the start of an ongoing campaign by ProtoDel - initially in Japan but eventually spreading across the whole of Asia as we move forward".
I-Wave is a Tokyo based specialist value added reseller of optical components, giving support for ProtoDel's products and customers within Japan.
Representing some of the leading optical component manufacturers within the Japanese market.
I-Wave is using the Interopto Expo to officially announce its partnership with ProtoDel.
