IC packaging partnership proves a success
IC packaging leader Advanced Semiconductor Engineering has announced its commitment to Ansoft's HFSS, Q3D Extractor and AnsoftLinks simulation products for IC packaging design and model extraction.
The Cypher sets the standard for low cost, single chip network enabling solutions, embedding a complete hardware TCP/IP stack with multiple peripheral support and SSL/IPSec security support, all in a chip the size of a dime.
The Cypher allows developers to add IP network connectivity to almost any product, without an in-depth knowledge of networking protocols, resulting in fast time to market and reduced costs.
With demand growing for the Cypher evaluation kit, Precidia's President expects sales of the product to be brisk.
"The Cypher is today's most cost effective, easy to use single chip solution for embedding TCP/IP functionality into equipment", said Deepak Wanner.
"By working with DDS, Precidia can offer simple, user-friendly software tools as part of its evaluation kit, helping developers to quickly assess the Cypher's unique feature set".
"The Cypher evaluation kit will be well received by developers.
The Cypher has been designed with the developer in mind, with an industry standard enhanced 8051 CPU core and simple, accessible tool support", said Dave Dunfield, President of DDS.
"The evaluation kit offers the entire industry an opportunity to test drive the Cypher product".
The Cypher system-on-a-chip has been designed to meet the cost, performance, size and time to market requirements of OEMs and ODMs in a broad range of industries.
