For use in custom specific ICs, Prema Semiconductor has designed a new high voltage operational amplifier for supply voltages of up to +/-60V or up to 120V single supply.
Two active areas each of 0.75 x 1.2mm are packaged in a small clear DFN package with a footprint of only 1.8 x 2.9mm.
Prema's silicon photodiodes have separate cathodes and a common anode.
They offer very low dark current in the range of less than 100pA at reverse voltages up to 20V.
The capacitance of the photodiodes of less than 60pF at 10V, allowing their use for light signals at higher frequencies.
The diodes are produced using the company's ModuS U6 process, which allows economical production of large sized photodiodes with a high yield and fewer impurity traps.
This enables very uniform sensitivity across both elements, which is important for position detection.
The PR5001 has its peak sensitivity in the near-infra-red range around 890nm.
Possible applications for these dual photodiodes are light measurement, laser beam alignment in laser printers and DVD/CD players, optical encoders and light barriers.
Samples of the PR5001 are now available.
