PowerPax UK is taking steps to ensure its products are fully compliant with the WEEE and RoHS Directives way ahead of schedule.

All equipment including power supplies sold into Europe from the 1st July 2006 will be presumed to comply with the RoHS Directive.

However, PowerPax will be able supply quantities of lead-free product by January 2005 on request, and all PowerPax products will be fully compliant by January 2006 at the latest.

Among the ranges to be a front runner in the race for compliance is the ACSD series of miniature desktop switch mode power supplies.

These provide up to 25W continuous output power in a case measuring just 76 x 45 x 28mm and weighing just 120g.

A 90-264V AC 47/63Hz input range and full international safety approvals mean that these units are suitable for world use.
