Mobile comms courses take in latest technologies

PTT has updated its suite of e-learning courses designed for technical personnel working with mobile telecommunications systems.

Mobile telecommunications has gone through major changes in the last few years with new services such as multimedia messaging, video calls and push to talk being introduced at a breathtaking pace.

For an e-learning provider such as PTT, ensuring that the courses it offers to the telecommunications industry are up-to-date and relevant is a challenge in this time of rapid change but a challenge which PTT takes pride in meeting.

PTT has just announced the release of updated versions of its suite of e-learning courses designed for technical personnel working with mobile telecommunications systems.

PTT's Mobile suite of e-learning courses has been completely updated and expanded to incorporate the latest developments in this fast-moving field.

The sections on GSM have been rewritten and include expanded coverage of GPRS and new messaging services.

Features added to Mobile include discussion of associated radio technologies like DECT, Tetra, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and a forward-looking discussion of developments beyond 3G.

As with all of the e-learning courses in the extensive range of telecommunications related courses offered by PTT, these updated courses are available online and on CDROM and use interactive simulations to fully engage the user in the learning experience.

Says PTT Director Alan Knight: "We are very pleased that the new Mobile suite continues PTT's tradition of presenting technical concepts effectively in e-learning format".
