DIN-rail supplies have voltage drops covered
The latest addition to the Dimension range of DIN-rail power supplies from Puls offers an answer to the age-old problem of the voltage drop inherent in longer cables.
Miniature supplies on the DIN rail
The ML15 range of DIN-rail power supplies offers a choice of 5, 12 and 24V DC single outputs in a tiny 22.5 x 75 x 91mm housing.
These single-phase power supplies continue to demonstrate Puls's design excellence and reliability, while being priced to compete directly with low cost imports from the Far East.
All CS DIN-rail power supplies have a low inrush current and will provide full output power between a temperature range of -25 to +60C.
In common with the more expensive QS series the CS family offers 20% "bonus power" allowing the power supplies to run at 120% of the rated output continuously up to +45C.
This allows engineers to specify the exact output power required even if the system load is subject to peak loads.
There will be no need to overspecify to allow for overload conditions with the consequent additional costs and space requirements.
Harry Moore, Managing Director of Puls UK comments: "We are introducing our new CS range in order to compete head-to-head with low cost imports".
"For simple industrial applications the reduced features of the CS family will be perfectly adequate, and our high efficiency and reliability will outperform our competitors".
"This will be a real win-win situation for our customers".
The CS5 models are rated at 24V/5A, consist of a standard unit with 115/230V input and separate models with optional of 200-240 or 100-120V only input voltages and an array of extra features including conformal coating or spring clamp terminals.
The CS10 models have a standard unit with an input voltage of 115/230V input, output of 24V/10A DC or one with 48V/5A.
Separate models have models of 200-240 or 100-120V only input, low inrush current, active PFC or spring terminal connectors.
The CS Series has full international safety agency approvals, screw terminal connection as standard and very compact dimensions of 32 x 124 x 117mm for the CS5 and 60 x 124 x 117mm for the CS10 unit.
Puls DIN-rail power supplies are available from stock for next day delivery.
