Receivers and line drivers have universal appeal
The innovative PRL 425 Series universal differential receivers and line drivers can receive any differential signal with a minimum amplitude of 100mV and a common-mode range between -2.4 and +4V.
Pulse Research Lab (PRL) announces the innovative PRL 425 Series universal differential receivers and line drivers.
These compact, self-contained buffer pods are long line drivers that can receive any differential signal with a minimum amplitude of 100mV and a common-mode range (CMR) between -2.4 and +4V.
The differential TTL and RS422 outputs can run up to 300MHz, and the NECL outputs up to 1.8GHz.
The new, ready-to use PRL-425 Series can translate and/or buffer signals from satellite receivers, optical transceivers, military equipment and telecommunications equipment.
The PRL-425 series of multipurpose modules is available with triax I/O connectors or differential SMA inputs and floating 100ohm differential input impedance, suitable for receiving differential LVDS, LVPECL, LVTTL/CMOS, NECL, PECL, LVPECL, RS422 or TTL signals.
Pulse Research Lab's three individual models offer TTL, NECL or RS422 outputs, respectively.
The PRL 425T has 50ohm back-terminated TTL outputs that can drive long lines with or without 50ohm terminations.
With 50ohm load terminations, the TTL outputs can drive 30m of 50ohm cables at clock rates greater than 100MHz.
The NECL outputs of the PRL-425N can drive 50ohm loads terminated into -2V or AC-coupled 50ohm loads up to 1.8GHz.
The TTL and NECL outputs are SMA and can be used differentially or single-ended.
The outputs of the PRL-425RS will drive a standard RS422 differential input up to 600MHz, and are also available with SMA or triax I/O connectors.
The PRL-425 universal differential receiver is ideal for line-driver applications where a single-function instrument pod is needed to receive and/or transmit differential signals over long distances.
PRL's wide range of line drivers and level translator products, paired with the innovative PRL-425 Series, enables the translation, distribution, and transmission of mixed logic signals commonly required in system integration, military/aerospace and test applications.
Each unit includes a 120/220V AC adapter and SMA or triax signal connectors for ready-to-use convenience on the bench, in a system, or in OEM applications.
The compact (33 x 74 x 99mm) extruded aluminium housing is suitable for mounting with the optional brackets, and several units can share a single AC adapter using PRL voltage distribution modules.
