The Eagle II is the second in a series of StrongARM based OEM modules from New Zealand based Prolificx.

The compact Eagle II (85 x 67mm) is ideal as a starting point for development of a wide variety of devices including Internet appliances, home Internet gateways, embedded control, point-of-sale and home automation equipment.

Key features include a 206MHz Intel SA-1110 processor; 32Mbyte Flash memory; 64Mbyte SDRAM, 10/100BaseT Ethernet; LCD interface - including contrast voltage generation; an interface for a four-wire resistive touch screen; two RS232 ports; and two 100-way connectors that expose most of the StrongARM bus and GPIO signals.

Power supply requirements are 5-24V DC.

The board operates as a stand-alone unit, or can be combined with a sub-board for extended functionality.

Prolificx has available the Eagle Lander sub-board with USB Host, 10BaseT Ethernet, PCMCIA/Compact Flash, 16bit stereo audio, IrDA and LonWorks.

Prolificx also provides design services and manufacturing for custom StrongARM solutions.

Operating systems available for Eagle modules include Windows CE 3.0 and ARM Linux.

Complete development kits, with Eagle II, Eagle Lander, 640 x 480 LCD and touch screen are also available.
