The 21A QKS48T210120 DC/DC convertor is a 12V DC output quarter-brick that combines IBA-optimised loose regulation with efficiencies up to 94%.

Available now from Power-One, the 21A QKS48T210120 DC/DC convertor is a 12V DC output quarter-brick that combines IBA-optimised loose regulation with efficiencies up to 94%, making it an ideal power source for point-of-load convertors in networking, ATCA, wireless communications and data processing applications.

A single-board design incorporating advanced thermal-management techniques facilitates minimal power derating over elevated ambient temperatures.

Only 90m/min of airflow is required to provide full-rated power at temperatures up to 55C.

At 70C ambient, 15.7A (188W) is available with 60m/min airflow.

The QKS48T210120 operates over a 36 to 75V DC input range and will withstand a 100V/100ms input-voltage surge.

Additional features include: 1500V DC input-to-output isolation, basic safety insulation rating and startup into prebiased loads.

Interface capabilities include primary-referenced remote on/off and remote sense.

Protection features include: output backdrive, output overvoltage and overcurrent, undervoltage lockout and overtemperature.

The QKS48T210120 is designed to comply with NEBS GR-1089 and GR-63.

Regulatory agency approvals include UL60950-1, CSA C22.2 No 60950-1-03, TUV EN60950-1:2001 and IEC60950-1:2001.

Pricing is $55 each in quantities of 1000.

Evaluation units are usually available from stock.

Production quantities are typically available in six to eight weeks.
