Rack-mount front ends are designed for applications requiring several high-current rails and can provide up to 80A on a single output.

New from Power-One, the HP600 Series of 600W rack-mount front ends are available with up to five outputs from 0.8 to 48V, plus a 5V standby power source.

The HP600 Series is designed for applications requiring several high-current rails and can provide up to 80A on a single output.

These hot-swap products feature backplane-mounted AC connectors, a wide 85-264V AC input range with power-factor correction, full-power operation up to 50C ambient, an I2C-interface, no minimum load operation, and internal ORing diodes to support paralleling and current sharing for up to four outputs.

Protection circuits include: output overvoltage, output overcurrent and overtemperature.

The compact 1U-high enclosures have 292 x 127mm footprints.

Certifications include TUV and cTUVus; a CB report is available.

Pricing is output-voltage dependent and is typically less than US $500 per unit for mid-volume OEM requirements.

Depending on configuration and quantity, prototype and production lead times are approximately eight to 16 weeks.
